Despite the subject matter.

This was an awesome, well planned, well made, beautiful game. Great job, love your style. Did you make this with AS3?

Made in Flash8, exported to flashplayer7, coded in AS1.

Why, you ask?

As a platform game maker myself I must say that your engine is flawed terribly >_>.

The movement. Its the worst thing ever. Why do I loose acceleration when I jump, why do I stop instantly when I don't hit the button. Wheres the inertia? And why do I accelerate so slow anyways? Why is jumping so friggen blocky and unruly? Why does moving in general almost cause me a seizure. All these things are what make your below average. What is a game if it doesn't play right?

I don't want to hear anything about how it's your first platformer attempt, because it doesn't matter, a game is a game no matter how you put it, and they should all be judged equally.

To go on, the music and sound was too repetitive. You should've chose something much more "pixely" and old school. It was burning my ears, the music. Make a better choice :(

The graphics were nice, but they were affected by your poor movement because it's not to hard to notice you scrolled the background itself instead of using a V-cam, or something else. Its a good technique, better then the V-cam by far, but when pulled off at a low fps with high movement variables, the background looks horrible. The sprites for the toast looked awful, to tell the truth, but the background looks awesome(when you were standing still)

You can do better >_> <_<
