Should I change my name?

5 years ago I was a huge Nintendo fan. So I made an account on a forum called the Sprite crew, and I meant to name myself Shiek_Sprite. I couldn't type that well so my name came out being Skeik_Sprite, and so I decided to keep the name.

Fast forward 5 years. The Sprite Crew is dead, and having a name that relates to a Nintendo character is a mark of immaturity (at least to me). Even though my name has a life of it's own and is no longer related to a video game, and never was really in the first place, people ALWAYS misread my name as Shiek, and it's annoying. I don't want to change my name but because K looks so much like a freakin H I think it might be best if I do, lol.

But the thing is that all the games I've made so far and work I've done has the name Skeik attached to it. So should I request to change my user name or just settle?

I have similar issues, my username quit being funny when I hit puberty but I don't know what to change it to.
I guess you could still keep it and use your real name wherever you can, that's what I do.

If it annoys you then I guess you should change it. I thought your name was "Sheik" too.

"mark of immaturity"?? You are 17 dude, what do you want your name to suggest - wisdom and sedateness? I say keep the name. Actually, I like Skeik a lot, get rid of Sprite and just be Skeik, it's pretty cool.

I'm 17, not 12. I don't want my name to suggest that I'm a part of the massive amounts of Zelda fans who name themselves after the characters :/ I don't want my name to suggest anything really, I just want it to be unique. I'm tired of people calling me Shiek.

I guess you should change it. Honestly, like probably most other people, I misread your name as "Sheik-Sprite".

Dont keep Skeik-Sprite. Ive always read SHEIK, and pictured the Zelda
character whenever I read it.

A shiek isn't just the name of the LoZ character. So you can always keep it as skeik, I think that is best.

You're name has always been skeik-sprite, I don't think you should change it. Personally I've come to associate the name with you in general, I don't even know what a sheik is. If anything change it to skeik the face raper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOMING!!!!!!!!!!
